🆘 Can't Log Into Okta?
🔐 I need help logging into Okta
If you’re struggling to log in to Okta, you should contact us rather than repeatedly attempting to log in. Multiple unsuccessful login attempts can lead to your IP address being blocked ☠️ which is much more complicated to resolve! But before reaching out for assistance, take a moment to check that,
You’ve entered your Okta email address as your username.
You've used dots (.) instead of commas (,) in your email address. Sometimes, it's easy to type octoenergy,com (with a comma) by mistake, which won't work. 😬
You've correctly entered “octoenergy.com” or the last part of your email address (which could vary depending on your business unit).
You've entered your password correctly and that Caps Lock is off.
You’ve tripled checked your login details (no harm in checking again!).

🔄 How to reset your Okta password
First, make sure you have Okta Verify set up on your mobile device. If you don’t, you will have to reach out to TechOps via Slack (if you have access) or email
If you do have Okta Verify, enter your Octopus email on the Okta sign in page
Click Forgot Password
Verify with Okta Verify on your phone
Now, enter your new password 🤘
🚫 I’ve been locked out of Okta. What should I do?
If you’ve entered the wrong password too many times, Okta will lock you out. 😔
But fret not! You can unlock your account by following these steps:
First, make sure you have Okta Verify set up on your mobile device. If you don’t, you will have to reach out to TechOps via Slack (if you have access) or email
If you do have Okta Verify, simply click Unlock account? when you go to sign in with Okta
Enter your username and select a verification method
Authorise in your Okta Verify app, and your browser should automatically log you back in 😁
